It's been almost 3 years since Windows 11 was announced back in June 2021, time flies, but before it came out, there was a leak back in MAY of 2021. Ever since it was released in October 2021, there’s been many rumours of a “Windows 12,” so let’s see what it’s about.
Hey guys, Sarmad here, today we’re going to be talking about the numerous amount of Windows 12 rumours out there, and whether or not Windows 12 is actually coming out or not.
1. Leaked Desktop
Firstly, there was a leaked image in one of Microsoft’s Ignite conferences back in 2022, one of the devices they were showing had an odd-looking version of a Windows 11 desktop, with floating taskbar similar to that of the macOS Doc, with information that’s meant to be in the bottom right corner in the taskbar, now instead at the top just like macOS, and a search bar at the top.
2. Intel Documents
After this rumour, there were leaked Intel documents talking about Windows 12, and how Intel would work with Windows 12.
3. Leaked Schedule and Conclusion
In addition to these, the actual schedule for Microsoft employees was leaked, showing that sometime in May of 2024, Windows 12 will be announced. When you take a look at all these rumours you might say “Oh well these are just rumours,” but what about the countless hints that Microsoft have given, such as “The future of Windows 2024 stuff,” the same stuff they did with Windows 11 and the AI stuff they’re talking about.
So yeah, Windows 12 is coming out soon, and very soon, we’re probably going to have a leaked build.
